This is a famous landmark along the Oregon coast. This is the remains of a wrecked ship, which crashed here in 1906. It is located just south of the Columbia River, on the Oregon Ocean along Clatsop Spit. This whole area is known for the large number of ships that have crashed. However, this is the only one that you can easily visit today. It is part of Fort Stevens State Park. It is sometimes partially covered with water, depending on the tide. On my recent visit, it was totally exposed, and kids were playing on the beach in and around it. It is partially buried in the sand, as you can see! Amazing that it has stayed here for over a century!!
